George Bush Park is the 6th largest city park in the nation.

Whether you’re simply looking to get some exercise or just stretch you’re legs at a local Sugar Land or Houston park, your looking for something fun to do with friends or family, or even as a day date activity, then you should go for a stroll through the historic and picturesque George Bush Park.

Formerly known as Cullen-Barker Park, George Bush Park (named after 41st President of the United States George H. W. Bush as opposed to the more recent President and Texas governor), is the 6th largest city park in the nation, extending out 7,800 acres (32 km2).

A public park that doubles as a wildlife sanctuary for the Buffalo Bayou, George Bush Park boasts a boardwalk, biking and jogging trails, a soccer field, shooting range, model aircraft, flying fields, and numerous pavilions, playgrounds, ponds and much more.  What’s more, the park is also a popular Geocaching destination.

George Bush Park is located 20 minutes away from your Sugar Land apartments.
